This project is about re-branding and design a website for Vietnamhouse Sushi – a restaurant specializing in sushi and asian dishes. They have been established in 2014 in Haugesund named SUSHI WOK. After two years, the restaurant changed the name to VIETNAMHOUSE SUSHI and expanded two more branches in Åkra and Stord.

Grasping the market, in 2023 the restaurant is officially the exclusive supplier of the brand names Bobacha milk tea. Vietnamhouse Sushi focuses on quality, service and comfortable, cozy, modern space that suitable for local culture and eating habits, helping customers enjoy food to the fullest.

Strategy & Vision

Vietnamhouse Sushi knows they’re not the only local restaurant that specializes in Japanese cuisine (sushi) and asian dishes. Haugesund, Åkra and Stord are small but dynamic cities, increasingly modernized life, increasing demand for enjoyment and food. Therefore, they must always listen, put themselves in the position of customers to capture and keep up with the trends and tastes of diners to help the restaurant
constantly change and develop.

Since Covid-19, related to competition and unstable price increases, Vietnamhouse Sushi decides to promote take-away services in addition to eating at the restaurant, which means reducing labor and service fees at the restaurant, saving other costs incurred when customers dine at the restaurant.

A restaurant, whether it’s newly opened or has been operating for a long time, whether small or large, also needs to constantly market, and change its marketing strategy to remember the brand with customers. At the same time to catch the trend and not fall behind. It can be said that marketing is the most effective way to bring the image and brand of the restaurant to a large number of customers, thereby helping to increase revenue. Through good marketing, it will help the restaurant indirectly position the brand as well as create a strong foothold in the market. Acquiring a high number of potential customers, a stable number of loyal customers. Finally, ensure profit and revenue.

Target Market

This market includes people of all ages but especially young people and families. It is not just those who are looking for a healthy meal option as many believe, but also for those who appreciate good food and are willing to pay for it. Understanding who you will serve and why they would come to your restaurant will be critical to your success.

Brand Design (Logo & identity design)

Based on the concept design, the color palette White, Black and Red are mostly suitable for the brand. They help to improve the passionate of the appetizing tasting, high-class, freshly, trust and loyalty. This is a consistent visual identity that includes color schemes, typography, and design elements for signage, website, and promotional materials. This reflect the brand personality of Vietnamhouse Sushi.

This bonus card is designed for BOBACHA’s customers after the owner’s required. That’s why the concept design is different from the original concept design of the restaurant.

Web Design

Goals: Convenience in menu checking and online order as well as easy capturing information about the restaurant.

This is a restaurant specializing in sushi and asian dishes mixed with modern and traditional (neoclassical) style. They want diners to have a culinary experience in a cozy, harmonious, and equally elegant space. Dark colours combined with contrasting white and red create a cozy and appetizing feeling.
