Ocean Care
A non-governmental organization (fictitious) dealing with issues of plastic pollution in the ocean as well as providing solutions for protecting the marine environment and preserving marine life.
This organization wants us to help them build and develop their brand to help raise awareness of marine environmental protection in the community, especially young people.
They want an official logo that matched the concept, an advertising billboard in a public area (school, bus station, ..) and an optional brand touchpoint (social media).
Target Market
In this awareness campaign, the main target audience is young people, children, our future generations. We should guide them become aware of environmental protection issues from an early age. They will be an example for the previous generation to think and change their perceptions and behavior.

Visual Identity Design
The logo is inspired by the tail of a whale riding the waves, symbolizing the leader and guiding marine creatures to survive in all circumstances. The rectangular frame symbolizes of us who are responsible for preserving nature and the planet where we all live.

They will be examples for previous generations to think and change their perceptions and behaviors.
Furthermore, these posters are available for sales on Ocean Care’s website. They can hung at home, office or school/kindergarten to increase the importance of the message to a large number of people.
By each purchasing, you will donate 299 kr/poster (included frame) – 99 kr/eco-bag for Ocean Care Fund (fictitious). This is also the first step in protecting the ocean from your awareness, helping our volunteers.

Why I choose sea turtles for this campaign icon? Because healthy oceans need sea turtles. Sea turtles are a “keystone species”, which means they are an important part of their environment and influence other species around them. If a keystone species is removed from a habitat, the natural order can be disrupted, which impacts other wildlife and fauna in different ways.
Sea turtles are highly prone to the harmful effect of plastic waste because, not only do floating plastic bags look like jellyfish (a favourite turtle snack), but they smell like them too! Plastics that have been in the ocean for some time start to collect algae and other marine organisms, so that they start to smell like the food turtles naturally eat.
